🗓️ Welcome to Q4 in LA!

10/1 - 10/7: figure drawing, Challahdad wine, & a picnic poetry jam

A MESSAGE FROM “ON PURPOSE WITH JAY SHETTY”

👋 OH HEY 👋

Mads here! As Angelenos, we’re no strangers to listening to podcasts in bumper-to-bumper traffic. And I happen to be a podcast aficionado for that exact reason 🎙️

One of my faves (and probably yours, too) is On Purpose With Jay Shetty. I always leave with a tangible tip to better myself, insight into a celebrity’s wellness journey, and an overall sense of calm ✨

Jay’s latest episode with Shawn Mendes is no different. They discuss his heartbreaking decision to cancel his tour to focus on his mental health and how he’s been finding himself outside of music. In this episode, you’ll get to see a vulnerable side of Shawn that you’ve never seen before.

Also…you’ll find out all the details behind Shawn’s love life we have all been dying to know and the answer to the burning question...is Shawn single or not?! 🤭

As you’re preparing your plans for the week in LA, I wanted to share spots that I believe will pair well with a listen to some of my favorite On Purpose episodes:

  • Shawn Mendes - head to Jurassic Magic or Alana’s Mar Vista or any coffee shop where you feel a deep sense of community. In this episode, Shawn shares a story of going to the same LA coffee shop nearly every morning to meet up with this new community he created. They called him the “mayor” of this coffee shop. Can you guess where it was?!

  • 🥬 Kim Kardashian - a Calabasas favorite, walk the aisles of Erewhon listening to Kim K. talk about mom life and the guilt that she lives with.

  • 🍵 Tom Holland - stop by an upcoming pop-up by Bar Nuda for a mocktail and listen to Tom share how he balances sobriety and having fun.

  • 🧘 Michael B Jordan - reserve your spot at Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in the Pacific Palisades and learn how to trust your intuition.

  • 💘 Esther Perel - love in the air? Dine at the Inn of the Seventh Ray (most romantic restaurant in the city) and learn how to ignite your chemistry with your partner.

  • 🌳 Kendall Jenner - at The Huntington Library to learn how to heal your inner child.

  • 😮‍💨 Joe Dispenza - at Unplug in Brentwood to know how you should actually be manifesting and meditating to land your dream job.

Okay, now on to the coolest things to do in LA this week.

An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi fall in love, but can their relationship survive their wildly different lives and meddling families?

Aside from being probably the best romantic comedy of the year, Nobody Wants This is based in LA and features some of our favorite spots like Mirate, Skylight Books, and Goldburger. It’s so fun to point them all out!

You’re going to want to binge this (again and again).
