Mads here! My toxic LA trait is that I love trying new wellness-y things in the city. And this past week was jam packed with just that:

• HUME, Venice 💪 This is a new “gym” in Venice, and I put “gym” in quotes because it’s so much more than that. It feels like a luxurious sanctuary with gym equipment that looks like art. They have a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and treatments like lymphatic drainage massages. Oh, and there’s a whole rooftop cafe with food collabs from Le Great Outdoor. I would apply asap.

• Aether, Pacific Palisades 💫 I was first introduced to Aether because they have a wellness residency at Jenni Kayne Home, so I knew the vibes were going to be right up my alley. I recently went to their (oh-so-chic) studio in the Pacific Palisades for their Muse treatment, which included an astrological reading followed by an energy healing session with their founder Kristina. It was the most restorative three hours of my life. If you’re at a crossroads in your life and are looking for clarity & that sense of purpose, I highly recommend booking a treatment.

• ALBION, Venice 🧖‍♀️ You may have walked past this Japanese cafe & store on Abbot Kinney and not known that they offer facials. They have a room out in their garden where they give facials exclusively using their line of Japanese products. I swear my skin was luminous afterward. Make sure to order their Amazake squeeze drink and sit outside on their patio post-facial.

• Santa Monica, All week 🥂 Marelle now has a limited-edition Bubbles & Buns menu in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot (fancccy). They’ll be offering champagne pairings with chef-crafted burgers until 10/14. Reserve your table here!

• Mid City, Tuesday 9/17 💃 Looking for somewhere to watch the Dancing With The Stars premiere? Here’s a watch party on a rooftop.

• Victor Heights, Tuesday 9/17 🍽 Meal Ticket is a new meal delivery service, and they’ll be popping up at Baker’s Bench on Tuesday so you can taste their food IRL!

• East Hollywood, Wednesday 9/18 🍔 Tabula Rasa is turning 8! To celebrate, they’ve planned a marathon of a party week. On Wednesday, there will be Yellow Paper Burgers & magnum specials. Full list of events here!

• Atwater Village, Wednesday 9/18 🍷 It’s open mic night at Nico’s on Wednesday! Unproblematic Favs is a weekly workout room for seasoned comics at Atwater’s coziest wine bar.

• West Hollywood, Thursday 9/19 ❣️ There’s a new dating club here in LA! It’s called Match Up, and it’s based on relationship science. They’ll determine your perfect match based on individual responses to some carefully formulated questions. Everyone leaves with a match :)

• Santa Monica & Larchmont, Thursday 9/19 🍴 We’re launching our first-ever, limited edition MENU ITEM with Alfalfa on Thursday (eeek)!! It will be available for a month at both Alfalfa locations. Make sure to follow us on IG for the big reveal and giveaways. Can you guess what it is?!

• Santa Monica, Thursday 9/19 🏃‍♀️ Single runners! The run club Cooldown has partnered with Bumble on Thursday. After your run, you’ll get free drinks provided by Bumble (while supplies last).

• Silver Lake, Thursday 9/19 ✍️ It’s Creative Hours at Cafe Nido, which is basically a “Happy Hour” for writers, artists, producers, readers, and anyone else that is working on their craft at the cafe. • Century City, Friday 9/20 - Saturday 9/21 🏃‍♀️ It’s KCRW's Summer Nights finale weekend at Century Park! They’ll start on Friday with jazz in the park and wrap up with a dance party on Saturday. All free!

• Culver City, Friday 9/20 - Sunday 9/22 👖 Nelle Atelier (the best jeans for us shorter girlies) has a pop-up at Platform this weekend! You’ll be able to try on the jeans for yourself.

• Sauced, DTLA 🍷 You’re probably familiar with the iconic Sauced wine glasses from their natty wine bar in Brooklyn. Well, they’re now popping up on the rooftop of the former Ace Hotel!

• Izakaya Dongame, Echo Park 🥢 This new izakaya restaurant from Osaka just opened over the weekend in Echo Park. This is gonna be your new neighborhood spot.

• Moim x YESS, DTLA ☕️ YESS is collaborating with Moim Coffee for an exclusive pop-up this entire month. You’ll get to try Moim’s renowned matcha and specialty pour overs, alongside Chef Giles Clark’s long-awaited homemade pastries. Wednesdays through Sundays!

• Rokusho, Hollywood 🍽️ This might be the most beautiful space I’ve ever seen…new innovative Japanese restaurant connected to Sunset Sound Recording Studio.

• No Smoking, Mid-City 🍺 Funky, casual bar that just opened in Mid-City. I’m loving the decor.
