🌴 Camber-approved Miami Guide
10/8 - 10/14: Maru x Shins Pizza, Sober October, & trivia night at Nico's
👋 OH HEY 👋
Mads here! I went to Miami for the first time this past weekend, and in the words of Taylor Swift: “fuck me up, Florida.” I’m not into clubbing, so I was worried that the city wouldn’t be for me, and my god, was I wrong. Every restaurant we went to: delicious. Every bar we went to: chic.
For anyone planning an upcoming bachelorette or girls trip, feel free to steal my itinerary:
WHERE TO STAY 🏩 We stayed at The Goodtime Hotel in South Beach. The decor is pink, green, and full of palm trees…exactly what you envision when you think of Miami. Their restaurant is perfect for pre-dinner drinks or a quick breakfast. They also have one of the coolest pools that makes you feel like you’re walking on water. 10/10 recommend as your home base in South Beach.
FOOD 🍽️
Boia De: intimate Italian restaurant in a strip mall. Order the beef tartare, crispy polenta, and the tagliatelle al limone. One of my favorite meals the whole weekend.
La Natural: naturally leavened pizza & natural wine.
Tâm Tâm: lively Vietnamese restaurant taking inspiration from “quán nhậu” - a term for “drinking places” in Saigon.
Zak the Baker: really cute bakery and brunch spot. The croissant was TDF.
Sanguich: omfg the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. EVER.
DRINKS 🍸
Dante’s HiFi: listening bar with incredible cocktails.
Medium Cool Cocktail Lounge: basement-type bar with funky music.
Miami Sound Bar: another cool listening bar.
Margot: natural wine bar with cutesy decor.
Living Room at Faena: a luxurious and iconic hotel lobby bar. Get there before 11 or it becomes quite scene-y.
THINGS TO DO 🌊
Definitely rent a boat to go down the river and take a tour of millionaire's row. We booked ours through Distraction Yachts, and they were incredible. Perfect for a bachelorette party.
Have a pool day in Miami Beach. I booked a cabana at the Fontainebleau through ResortPass, and it was the most relaxing day. The team was incredibly attentive and friendly, and it wasn’t too much of a “party” hotel, which was what we were looking for. They have additional chairs at the beach for you to lounge at as well.
