Mads here! Thank you for being patient this week with the newsletter. I’ve been sick AF on and off for the past week 🤒 but we’re turning a corner.

Some recaps from the weekend though:

• 🥃 It was 818 day on Friday, and I got to celebrate with Kenny herself at Delilah. Def a pinch me moment, and I got a Booth by Bryant!!

• 🥾 We walked with FP Movement on Saturday morning! It was such a great way to start the weekend. Thank you to everyone coming out and special shoutout to FP Movement for bringing us together to move.

• 🥪 Biite’s Women’s World Cup of Sandwiches at Tre Mani was on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, my sandwich did not win (wah!), but it was such a perfect summer garden party. Everyone go check out my friend Jackie’s (@noleftovers) sandwich on the menu for a limited time!

• Hollywood, Thursday 8/24 🍷 My favorite natty wine club, CLINK, is popping up at Second Home on Thursday. Come and let loose.

• Koreatown, Thursday 8/24 to Saturday 8/26 🐔 Chimmelier Korean Fried Chicken is popping up at Red Room this week! They’ll have chicken meals exclusive to this pop up, so you won’t wanna miss it.

• Altadena or Highland Park, Thursdays or Saturdays 🎨 Creative Cafe pops up at Amara Kitchen on Thursdays and Saturdays. Just like dining out, you will select from a menu, but instead of ordering food, you’ll choose from a selection of creative activities like drawing, clay, collage, etc. Such a fun idea for a friend date!

• West Hollywood, Saturday 8/26 🍷 Facile is having a Happy Hour for you on Saturday from 4-6 PM! There will be complimentary Jumbo Time Wines and designer vintage from Nou to shop from. When you purchase their Core Four + a serum of your choice, you get a complimentary bottle of wine!

• Mid City, Saturday 8/26 🦞 Bespoke Bar LA is having a natty wine and lobster roll pop-up in their courtyard. A perfect summer afternoon.

• Altadena, Saturday 8/26 🌿 Herb Club LA & Usal Project are putting on a herb walk on Saturday. You’ll learn how to identify and connect with native plants of Los Angeles. Fun!!

• West Hollywood, Saturday 8/26 🥧 Chainsaw is popping up at Our Place on Melrose with summer pies. Visit for an afternoon treat!

• Highland Park, Saturday 8/26 🍵 Lenita Flower Shop is hosting a Matcha & Florals workshop on Saturday. You’ll learn how to make matcha by Farm Cup and go home with a flower arrangement.

• DTLA, Sunday 8/27 🍽️ SoulPhil is having their first ever brunch pop up on Sunday at Redbird in DTLA. It will be a celebration of Chef Tiana Gee’s heritage through filipino and soul food fusion.

• DTLA, Sunday 8/27 🍸 Everyone’s favorite NA store, Soft Spirits, is popping up at the rooftop of the Ace DTLA. Enjoy a sober bar and tunes.

• Malibu, Sunday 8/27 🌊 Wanna go paddle boarding in Malibu on Sunday? Here’s how.

• Beverly Hills, Monday 8/28 🎥 Omg Greystone Mansion now has movie nights! Their first one is on Monday.

• File Systems of Coffee, Hancock Park ☕ This under-the-radar coffee shop is my new go-to. The coffee is strong, the staff is friendly, the glassware is chic, and there are chairs with backs for you to stay a while.

• The Airliner, Lincoln Heights 🎶 Been hearing good things about this neighborhood cocktail bar. Oh, and they have a live music venue upstairs.

• Atla, Venice 🌮 This new casual Mexican restaurant has opened on Abbot Kinney. It’s by Enrique Olvera, the famous chef of Mexico City’s Pujol.

• Broad Street Oyster Co, Huntington Beach 🦪 One of my favorite seafood and oyster restaurants in LA has opened a location on the iconic Huntington Beach pier.

• Santo, Silver Lake 🍣 This sushi restaurant from Mexico City is buzzy AF right now. High on my list to try.

• Yahir, Culver West 🍷 I’ve been wanting to try this tapas spot ever since Venice Beach Wine Club was there.

• Owa, Venice 🍱 Another sushi restaurant has finally replaced the original Wabi-Sabi spot on Abbot Kinney! Oh, and there’s an omakase option.
