Late night tea house, Molly Baz stans, & a WFH alternative

Why, hello there! I recently rounded up my favorite places to drink in LA. Should we do a meetup at Melody or All Season Brewing one of these evenings? Yes? Okay, cool, I'll plan it for us.

Lemme know if you end up going to any of the events or places this week! You can tag us at @camberapp. As always, you can send this newsletter to a fellow cool kid in LA here.

Okay, let's get to the going.

🗓️ THINGS TO DO 🗓️

  • 🧘 One of my favorite brands DONNI opened a pop-up at the oh-so-chic Platform in Culver City. On Sunday, May 1 at 11 AM, they are holding a yoga & breathwork session with Open (remember my favorite meditation app?) followed by Facile facials and Vina beverages. I'll be there, so be sure to tap me on the shoulder and say hi!

  • 🍵 I stumbled across this late night tea house on TikTok and have been dying to go ever since. They hold various events in the Arts District, but the cooking class on Wednesday, April 27th or any of the late night tea sessions sound so soothing.

  • 😂 The Netflix is a Joke Festival is happening across the city! Pete Davidson on Friday, Dave Chappelle on Saturday, Seth Rogen on Sunday...

  • 🧑‍🍳 Calling all Molly Baz stans! On Wednesday, April 27th, she will be celebrating the 1-year anniversary of her book with a live, virtual cooking class and Q&A.

  • 🚲 Why not try cycling on the beach in Santa Monica at sunset? Idyllic.

  • 🍿 Every Wednesday and Sunday, The Setup hosts an outdoor comedy series at Citizen Public Market for $15. Get ready to giggle.

  • 🎨 ArtNight is happening in Pasadena on Friday, April 29th! Also, it's free, so...

📍PLACES TO BE📍

Mazal

Lincoln Heights

If they gave out awards to the best restaurant social media presence, it would go to Mazal. If you aren't following them yet, you're in for a treat. Whoever is responsible for their story series, please reveal yourself.

Yes, Mazal is worth the schlep to Lincoln Heights. It's an Israeli vegetarian restaurant run by a mother-son duo. Get a bottle of natty wine and the following from the menu: Moroccan Carrots, Bourekas, Jerusalem Bagel Toast, and Maghrebi Potatoes. Drooling.

All Season Brewing

Mid-Wilshire

One of the best things to come out of the pandemic: All Season Brewing. In a repurposed car service station, this brewery on La Brea is the central LA watering hole we all needed. They make their classic, American-style beers on site, so pick one from their extensive list and grab a seat outdoors.

Oh, and don't forget to get some Chica Tacos while you're there.

Second Home

Hollywood

Tired of working from home? Same.

Why not shake things up and get a day pass to Second Home? This outdoor campus has alfresco working areas, garden offices where the air is recycled every two minutes, and free coffee. It's like if the Garden of Eden was in Hollywood.

💬 ONE FINAL THING 💬

See ya around,
