Mads here! I hope everyone survived the LA marathon traffic. Or I guess if you actually ran it, then good for you. The rest of us were like this:

A few local highlights from my week:

• 🍞 I went to Snaxshot’s pre-Expo party, and got to see my friends Challahdad and Annie from Nour. Can you believe this challah centerpiece that Kate put together?!

• 🥬 Checked out the plant-based sub shop B&T’s Deli on Montana Ave! It’s been all the craze lately, and although I was skeptical as a meat-lover, they sure know what they’re doing over there. I would order The Old Sport & The Meadow Soprano.

• 💍 You guys have been asking me where to host engagement parties in LA, and I actually had mine (woo!) at Everson Royce Bar over the weekend. It’s one of the best bars to host a large group with great cocktails and even better burgers. They’re also doing a fun wine garden party on Sunday 3/24 with Silver Lake Wine!

• Echo Park, All week 🍝 Donna’s is now open 7 days a week!! So securing that res is about to get a loooot easier. Order the fusilli & veal piccata.

• Santa Monica & Culver City, All week 🥪 Introducing Lady Monroe: the Lady & Larder x Monroe Place sandwich collab! Just this week, you can get their collab sandwich at both shops.

• Echo Park, Wednesday 3/20 🍕 These are always a great time: one of my favorite neapolitan pizzas in the city, La Morra, is popping up at Canyon Coffee on Wednesday evening.

• Venice, Wednesday 3/20 🍸 Grab dinner & a drink on Penmar’s patio while hearing a licensed therapist speak on grit & resilience with Club Rewire.

• West Hollywood, Wednesday 3/20 🧘‍♀️ A perfect way to start your Wednesday: yoga on the Skyline Deck at 1 Hotel West Hollywood. I would then WFH from their lobby (one of my favorites).

• Santa Monica, Wednesday 3/20 🍴 Eek! Nancy Silverton will be at Pasjoli on Wednesday for a special dinner series.

• Topanga, Thursday 3/21 👕 Have some clothes you’re looking to swap out? Head to this shop and swap experience by The Well Lived Woman in Topanga.

• Venice, Thursday 3/21 🧠 I WANNA PICK YOUR BRAIN is a panel series picking the brightest of brains IRL. Their next panel is on Thursday at NeueHouse, and the panel includes JT Barnett, Alyssa Lynch, Rick Lox, and more. Get your ticket here!

• West Hollywood, Friday 3/22 🍣 Fiish is popping up at Palihouse West Hollywood on Friday! They’ll be pairing dry-aged sushi with craft cocktails and premium sake.

• Alhambra, Friday 3/22 - Monday 3/25 🧘‍♀️ I’m loving the description of this: a realistic retreat for bad bitches who want to regulate their nervous system. Um, sign me up. It’s a 3-day retreat in a castle with daily yoga, dance parties, scream therapy, and more.

• West Hollywood, Saturday 3/23 👩‍💻 Another networking hour! The New Bar in WeHo is putting on this “how to get paid while being in your feminine energy” talk along with breakfast treats, NA drinks, birth chart readings, and more. Oh, and it’s free!

• West Adams, Saturday 3/23 🍞 Friend of Camber, Challahdad, will be at Highly Likely West Adams on Saturday for a “very tearable pop-up.”

• June Bug Market, El Sereno 🛍 How cute is this antiques and vintage clothing shop? They also do weekly drop-in poetry workshops!

• Fleurs et Sel, West Adams 🍪 This famous LA cookie now has their own brick-and-mortar in West Adams! I’m drooling over these photos…

• The Padel Courts, East Hollywood 🎾 Wait, I’m obsessed with this new Padel Club that recently opening in East Hollywood! It’s a mix between tennis and squash, and it’ll probably be the next pickleball before we know it. Book your court here!

• Tacos Por Vida, Palms 🌮 Roy Choi opened a new street taco stand. Sign me tf up!

• The Moon Room, West Hollywood 🍸 I was so bummed when I heard Bathtub Gin closed, but all is well because a new cocktail bar has opened up in the space.
