Mads here! This past weekend, I went to one of my favorite getaways from LA: The Courts in Borrego Springs 🎾

Every year, they put on their own tennis tournament called the Low Desert Open, and although I don’t play tennis, I attend as a guest exclusively for ~the vibes~. The days look like this: watch tennis, dip in the pool, grab a canned rose, repeat 🏊‍♀️

Other than the tournament, they’re open most weekends. Get a group together and camp there, play some tennis, and enjoy the chic club. 10/10 recommend 🌵

Also special shoutout to everyone who came to our Challahfornia Dreamin’ dinner with Mazal & Challahdad! Every dish incorporated challah in it along with a natty wine pairing from Cosmic Wine Club 🍷 🍽️ It was the perfect backyard dinner party. Should we do more of these?!

• Redondo Beach, Saturday 3/9 🛍️ Come Together Market is back in Redondo Beach on Saturday. Vintage! Artisan goods! Puppy adoptions!

• Glendale, Saturday 3/9 🤝 Celebrate International Women’s Day at Junior High on Saturday! Tatsnbabes will be there doing tattoos, and there will be cute shopping and good eats.

• Playa Del Rey, Saturday 3/9 🌊 Swim & Social (you know that community that does ocean dips at sunrise as a way to make friends?) is having a Lunar Plunge on Saturday evening at Dockweiler Beach starting at 5 PM. They’ll be having a bonfire afterwards, too!

• Near LAX, Saturday 3/9 🥾 To all my climbers!! There’s this climbing event / competition in honor of International Women’s Day happening on Saturday.

• Chinatown, Saturday 3/9 🍽️ MAMA is dedicated to preserving immigrant culture through food, and their next night market is on Saturday! You’ll get to try some of the best under-represented restaurants that embody the true spirit of LA neighborhoods.

• Atwater Village, Saturday 3/9 🎶 Woah, In Sheep’s Clothing at Nicos? Yes, please.

• West Hollywood, Saturday 3/9 & Sunday 3/10 💄 ILIA’s having their first ever pop-up called the ILIA Shade Match Studio this weekend! The first 50 people in line each day will get a free Skin Rewind Complexion Stick in their shade.

• Venice, Sunday 3/10 🏃 For all my runners: Venice Run Club is putting on a running event called Abbot Kinney One on Sunday. This is somehow more important to me than the LA marathon.

• Lincoln Heights, Sunday 3/10 🍺 Benny Boy Brewing is throwing a Chaat Party, which will include an Indian street food pop up and the release of their chai cider.

• Stella, West Hollywood 🍝 File this new Italian restaurant under “ideas for date night.” Looks sleek.

• Burger She Wrote, Venice 🍔 One of my favorite smash burgers in the city just opened a second location in Venice. And it’s right on the boardwalk!

• Azizam, Silver Lake 🍽️ FREAKING OUT! My favorite Persian food pop-up now has a brick-and-mortar in Silver Lake!! They’re doing a soft opening, so check on their Instagram for updates.

• Neighborhood Winery, Arts District 🍷 Pali Wine Co in the Arts District is transforming into Neighborhood Winery, which will be pouring exclusively natty wines. They’re also adding a whole menu inspired by Jewish deli dishes like latkes, kugel, and schnitzel. I’m SO excited.

• Kuku Cafe, Inglewood 🍚 New Persian restaurant in Inglewood! Their tachin looks good.
