Okay, let's get to the going.
๐๏ธ THINGS TO DO ๐๏ธ
๐๏ธ My fashion girlies! Lisa Says Gah is having a sample sale from Thursday 1/12 - Sunday 1/15 at their new store in Echo Park.
๐ผ๏ธ Hazy Studios is hosting a free art show on Friday 1/13. Good times and music included.
๐ฅ Starting on Friday 1/13, you can watch No Bears at the Laemmle Royal, which is a courageous film made in secret by Jafar Panahi, who is currently imprisoned in Iran. It explores the challenges of creating art under the restrictions of the Iranian government.
๐ The Pickwick Vintage Show is back at ROW DTLA on Saturday 1/14! This is for all the thrifters out there.
๐ง๏ธ It's still raining in LA, so plan an indoor activity to do with friends like Highland Park Bowl. Other ideas of what to do when it's raining here.
๐ค Have clothes you're looking to give away? Bring them to GEฬNERO NEUTRAL's Sip & Swap on Saturday 1/14. Drop 'em off and shop for yourself. Oh, and natty wine will be poured by friend of Camber, Mas Vino Please.
๐PLACES TO BE๐
Ditroit Taqueria
Arts District
Holy sh*t.
Ditroit Taqueria, which is tucked away behind Damian in the Arts District, has been on my list forororrrrrreevvvver. Both Damian and Ditroit are by the chef behind Mexico City's Pujol (Enrique Olvera), so you know it's going to be mindblowing ๐ฎ
I treated myself to a little field trip, and oh. my. god. I devoured the suadero taco and washed it down with their palo santo agua fresca. 15/10 recommend.
Blueys
Mar Vista
This is the ultimate Sunday morning spot.
Blueys opened a second location in Mar Vista, which is a part of Los Angeles that was in desperate need of a brunch place like this. Get the squash pancakes (trust me), and the avo toast is always a safe bet ๐ฅ
Pardis
Glendale
Tahdig anyone?
If you're looking for Persian food in Glendale, you have many options, and Pardis should be high on that list. You must order the tahdig with ghormeh sabzi and fesenjoon, beef koobideh, and mast-o-khiar (which you're meant to dip their bread in, but I could honestly eat plain with a spoon) ๐คค
Nooshe jรขn!
๐ฌ ONE FINAL THING ๐ฌ
