Mads here! Happy June Gloom to all who celebrate (against our will). Well, I didn’t let it stop me this past week. Recap incoming:

• 🌮 Visited one of my favorite taco spots in the city: Ditroit in the Arts District. If you’re in need of a good birthday dinner spot for a large group, THIS IS IT.

• 🧘 During the week, we put on a sound bath at this insanely gorgeous Swimply home in Bel Air. Our friend Rachel from Empowered Yoga led us through a meditation and the most relaxing sound bath. You can rent a home on Swimply by the hour to host your own event!

• 🌊 To kick off the weekend, we had our June Walk Club with Sanctuary. We were decked out in linens (which we will be wearing ALL summer long). We took a little beach stroll and went home with Sanctuary totes and other goodies.

• 🍽️ I checked out the newest addition to Melrose: Carmel. Must orders include: Moroccan frena, smoked eggplant, Mexican prawns, sweet potatoes, tortellini, and steak kebab. Great for dinner before seeing a show at The Groundlings, date night, catching up with friends, etc.

• Santa Monica, Coming Soon 🏋️ One of my favorite workout studios, Pvolve, is opening their 2nd LA location in Santa Monica this summer (eek)! • Venice, Tuesday 6/4 🚴 Venice has a club for everything. This is the latest one: Venice Pedal Club. Every Tuesday!

• East Hollywood, Tuesday 6/4 🦪 Barra Santos & Found Oyster are collabing again! There will be grilled sardines, mussels, and oysters galore.

• Highland Park, Tuesday 6/4 🍰 A Gemini-season-themed cake tasting? The Gorky is putting on just that at Noto Botanics in HLP on Tuesday. Secure your spot here.

• Santa Monica, Wednesday 6/5 😆 Wanna laugh? The Crow is putting on this stand up comedy show in partnership with JFSLA. Proceeds go to getting kids school supplies for the new year! They’re calling it Hanukkah in Santa Monica (in June). I’m into it.

• Highland Park, Wednesday 6/5 🏃‍♀️ Eagle Rock Run Club is at it again! Go for a 6.5 mile run on Wednesday to celebrate Global Running Day.

• Venice, Wednesday 6/5 🎺 Date night idea: Venice Beach Wine Club is back with another Wine & Jazz night on Wednesday.

• Chinatown, Wednesday 6/5 ❤️‍🔥 Queer speed dating!! Friend or Flame is kicking off pride month with a party at STAY on Wednesday.

• Santa Monica, Wednesday 6/5 🏃 To all my runner friends! Nike is celebrating Global Running Day with a community run on Wednesday starting at their Santa Monica store.

• Atwater Village, Thursday 6/6 🍷 One of my favorite natty wines from the Santa Ynez Valley, Stolpman’s Fresh Garage, is coming to LA to throw a birthday party at Club Tee Gee’s patio on Thursday!

• Glendale, Thursday 6/6 💐 This is simply the cutest: a floral embellishment workshop at Junior High. Secure your spot here!

• Atwater Village, Thursday 6/6 🥟 Little Angel is a new concept that combines the precision of handmade noodles and dumplings with the chaos of grilled meats over flame. You can get the first taste at Holy Basil Atwater Village on Thursday.

• Echo Park, Thursday 6/6 🕺 Skin Contact is a group that hosts gay nights at wine bars, and their next one is Thursday at Bar Bandini. Cheers!

• DTLA, Thursday 6/6 🍷 Friend of Camber, Mas Vino Please, is popping up again!! This time at Fig & Oak for an evening of timeless Spanish serenades by Los Caramelos while celebrating the newest Mas Vino Please wine release ‘Sol Y Mar’ to be paired with a curated hors d’oeuvres prepared by Ola.

• Little Tokyo, Friday 6/7 🎵 Wanna listen to music in a Japanese Garden? In Sheep’s Clothing is hosting a “Sounds of Latin America” listening party on Friday.

On Saturday, they will have an ice cream truck on Abbot Kinney giving out complimentary tastings of the new ice cream for all dogs as well as free scoops of Van Leeuwen favorites for humans.
