Mads here! The holidays are in FULL swing in Los Angeles. I feel like there’s a holiday market every day of the week until January lol.

I’m not complaining though because LA was always lacking European-style holiday markets, so I’m giddy that there are so many options this year. This past weekend was the Lulu & Georgia pop-up, Parachute Home Holiday Village, and Midland Market (to name a few). More for this week under “things to do” 🗓️

I got a request for holiday themed bars, so I’ll pass along my recs to you guys first before I post to TikTok because ily:

• Holly Jolly Bar, West Hollywood 🎅 I went to the Holly Jolly Bar pop-up at EP & LP, and omg guys. It looks like that scene from Elf when he decorates the store in preparation for Santa. I had a mezcal hot chocolate…

• Krampus Cove at Lost Property, Hollywood 💀 It’s giving Nightmare before Christmas vibes.

• Casa Vega, Sherman Oaks 🎄 This is where you go if you wanna be blinded by Christmas lights.

• Frosty’s, Hollywood 🍸 This is a proper Christmas pop-up bar: music, themed drinks, photo ops, and more!

• Tinseltown, DTLA ❄️ Located at Pattern Bar, Tinseltown is a Christmas speakeasy filled with tinsel, festive tunes, and winter warmer drinks. Book your spot here!

• Alley Lounge, Culver City 🎁 This hidden bar is deck (the halls)-ed out. Get it?

• The Three Clubs, Hollywood 🎹 A holiday piano bar? Yes ma’am.

• Miracle at Neighbors, Playa Vista 🍸 Seasonal drinks in a festive setting has touched down in Playa Vista. Book a time here!

• Joyce, DTLA 🎄 Spiked eggnog anyone? Christmas mode is activated at Joyce.

• The Bar at Century Plaza, Century City 🎄 They’re putting on this "apres-ski" dining experience inside little Swiss chalets. A bit pricey, but a fun experience!

• Bacari, West Adams 🎁 Bacari in West Adams has completely transformed their space into a winter wonderland and are showing holiday movies.

• Capri Club, Eagle Rock 🍸 Okay so this isn’t really a holiday specific pop-up bar, but every year Capri Club goes all out on holiday decor and themed drinks. Get their seasonal Toddy that includes my fave Flowerhead Tea’s chai.

• Rita’s Deluxe, DTLA 🍔 Grab a burger & fancy milkshake from this new nostalgic diner in downtown.

• Mangette, Long Beach 🍵 I was gushing over Buvons in Long Beach a couple weeks ago in this newsletter, and I’m delighted that their sister cafe, Mangette, has opened. Looks like it’s time for another visit to LB!

• Bucatini, Echo Park 🛍️ Bucatini has re-opened! This is where you’ll get your pasta, fancy olive oil, and tinned fish.

• Spina, Atwater Village 🍽️ Eater LA called this “a pasta haven just popped up in Atwater Village seemingly overnight.” Looks like a teeny tiny restaurant with yummy pasta and wine. I’m sold.
