Mads here! Thank you to everyone who came to our breathwork class at Open this past weekend. I won’t shut up about how much I love Open, and their new meditation studio is such a special space. I’m so happy we were all able to experience that magic together and hang out afterwards with some salad with Nour and the newest flavor from De Soi.

🗓️ THINGS TO DO 🗓️

• 🍹 The Cara Hotel is now offering aperitivo for the first time ever! Head over Monday through Friday from 5 - 7 PM for summery bites and seasonal cocktails.

• 🍵 Guys, I took a pottery class this past weekend at Bitter Root Pottery! If you’re looking for a date night or fun activity to do, they have beginner classes every day of the week! It was really cute.

• 🫖 Tuesdays are now donation-based during daylight hours at Tea at Shiloh. I still have yet to visit that magical place!

• 🤣 I love a free comedy show. On Tuesday 6/27, Feeld is putting on One Night Stand Up at The Echoplex.

• 🎵 This is epic: it’s Sad Girl R&B Night at Lowboy on Wednesday 6/28

• 🧠 Club Rewire hosts pop up events where mental health education is accessible and cool. Their next one is at JuneShine on Wednesday 6/28, and they’ll be chatting about your brain’s ability to enter flow state. Oh, and there will be jewelry making.

• 🌞 Little Lunch has been killing it with the summer events lately. They have another one of their Summer Sunset Sessions on Thursday 6/29. Listen to some good music by the water.

• 🌱 It’s plant-powered happy hour over at Lifted Botanical House on Thursday 6/29.

• 🕺 My favorite bar to dance at, The Friend, is having a K POP Night on Thursday 6/29.

• 🦜 Tilda Wine is throwing a Birds of a Feather Pride Party on Thursday 6/29 to round out Pride Month.

• 🧑‍🍳 Are you a Chef’s Table enthusiast like me? Well then, you’ll love this: Netflix is putting on a limited-time pop-up called Netflix Bites, which opens on Friday 6/30. Your favorite foods from your favorite Netflix chefs.

• 👙 Want to learn how to sew your own swimwear? Rosie Barker is teaching a Bikini Workshop at Moving Thread on Friday 6/30.

• 🏳️‍🌈 This event on Friday 6/30 is asking all the important questions around queerness in food and drink. Close out Pride Month with Reservations at the Ace Hotel DTLA.

• 🥪 Did you know that Uncle Paulie’s puts on a comedy show called Live From the Deli? Their next one is on Friday 6/30, and wine will be from my bestie Fallen Grape.

• 🤠 It’s Country Night this Friday 6/30!! Put on your cowboy boots, and I’ll meet you at Rose Room in Venice.

• 🍷 Okay, this is fun: Vin on Rose is hosting a Summer Sips at Chulita on Saturday 7/1. Tacos & yummy wines!

• 🇺🇸 This is how Nancy Meyers would spend her Fourth of July weekend: at Calamigos Guest Ranch’s County Fair in Malibu on Sunday 7/2.

• 🎙️ Woah, Anderson .Paak is playing at Hotel Ziggy for this Sunset Splash House on Sunday 7/2.

• 🕺 HONEY HONEY, HOW HE THRILLS ME, A-HA! It’s ABBA Night at Zebulon on Monday 7/3. I’m so here for this.

• 🎥 Why not see a rooftop movie on the Fourth of July? My favorite is Melrose Rooftop Theatre at the top of EP&LP.

• 🎆 Spend the Fourth of July at my favorite summer spot in LA: The Hollywood Bowl. I went one year, and it was some of the best fireworks I’ve ever seen.
