👋 OH HEY 👋

Mads here! Did everyone survive the rain? Are we all okay? Well, I braved the rain to check out the Crown Affair pop-up at goop at the Brentwood Country Mart, the BÉIS pop-up at cafe de la la, and a comedy show at The Comedy Store. Quite the jam-packed weekend 💚

Friend of Camber, Sarah Paciocco, has been posting these cute AF ideas for how to spend a day in Los Angeles 💁‍♀️ You can see the full list here, but I wanted to list out some of my faves from her list:

  • ☕ Grab a coffee from Morning Service and walk along the LA River or explore Frogtown.

  • 🌊 Order Lily’s breakfast burritos to go and eat them at the El Matador picnic tables.

  • 🥪 Climb the Culver Stairs and reward yourself with a sandwich from Jackson Market.

  • 📖 Explore the Altadena Library and grab a slice at Side Pie afterwards.

  • 🍕 Hike Tuna Canyon followed up by a glass of natty wine and pizza at Endless Color in Topanga.

  • 🍺 Play skeeball and have beer flights at Arts District Brewing Co.

  • 🎥 Watch a movie at Braindead Studios and then have a cute meal & coffee in their back patio at Slammers Cafe.

Okay, now on to the coolest things to do in LA this week.

📍PLACES TO BE📍

New openings, places you should know about, what I’m adding to my starting lineup, etc.

Top Left: Nico’s (📷 by @nicos.wines), Top Right: kodō hotel (📷 by @kodo.hotel), Bottom Left: Mars (📷 by Eater LA), Bottom Right: Flouring (📷 by @flouringla)

  • Nico’s, Atwater Village 🍷 SO EXCITED FOR THIS: Nico’s (looong time friend of Camber) is a natty wine bar that just opened in Atwater Village!! You may remember her as Nico’s Small Market, and I’m giddy that she now has a permanent home!

  • Endless Noise Coffee & Vinyl, Santa Monica 🎶 Recently discovered this cute AF coffee and vinyl shop in Santa Monica.

  • Flouring, Chinatown 🍰 New cake shop in Chinatown! I’m eyeing these cookies though…

  • Mars, Hollywood 🍸 A secret cocktail lounge behind Mother Wolf.

  • Cipriani, Beverly Hills 🍽️ This is where you’ll take your parents when they’re in town.

  • kodō hotel, DTLA 🧘 I just know my inner peace will be restored if I stay at the new kodō hotel in the Arts District. They’re having a grand opening on Tuesday 1/23!

  • Slurp & Sip, Koreatown 🍜 A new self service ramen shop in Koreatown just opened up. Choose your instant ramen packet and noodles, select toppings, and cook your noodles with their machine that quickly boils the water. Top it off with fresh veggies.

  • Modern Bread & Bagel, Santa Monica 🥯 For all my gluten-free friends: this GF bagel spot has opened up on Montana.

  • Permanent Records Roadhouse, Highland Park 🎶 Cool bar slash live music venue slash record store in HLP. Shoutout to Lindsey Rem for putting this on my radar!
