• 🕎 If you don't wanna fry your own latkes this year, pre-order your Hanukkah party pack from Little Fish by Wednesday 12/14. If I trust anyone with house smoked fish dip, it's Little Fish.

• 🍷 Friend of Camber Love & Loathing LA launched a canned wine called Best Coast Beverages, and they're hosting a tasting at known coastal grandma spot, Zinc Cafe & Market. See you there on Wednesday 12/14!

• 📽️ On Friday 12/16, Shake Shack is putting on a complimentary outdoor holiday movie night at their new Silver Lake location. They'll be playing National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Bring chairs and blankets!

• 🎉 SIDEWALK TALK & record label GRL(GANG) are putting on GRLS GIVE BACK this Friday 12/16. It will feature a lineup of talented female DJs and 100% of the proceeds will go to the homeless community in LA. Such a fun way to give back!

• 🍕 Catch the end of Eater's holiday market with Shopify at ROW DTLA. There's still a chat with Chris Bianco on Thursday 12/15, holiday kitchen wreaths making class on Friday 12/16, and spice class on Saturday 12/17.

• 🧖‍♀️ Basic Space LA is throwing a free community day and holiday fair on Saturday 12/17 in Glassell Park. Expect a pop-up marketplace of art, design, and healing practitioners.

• 🕺 Looking for a Hanukkah party that's Y2K-Bar-Mitzvah-themed? I mean, who isn't? RSVP to Stephen Wise Temple's Hanukkah Semi-Formal on Saturday 12/17 for latkes and cocktails.

• 🍻 Leave it to Homage Brewing & In Sheep's Clothing to put on the coolest holiday market on Sunday 12/18. Japonesia vendors, natty wine, and yakitori. Oh, and of course there will be a plethora of records.

Wait, why has it taken me this long to visit this place?

I'm going to say it: Antico Nuovo has one of the best pastas in the city. The plin dell' alta langa was handmade and utterly divine 🍝 The focaccia with whipped ricotta will leave you stunned. We were silent the entire time we were enjoying it because we were in awe of how tasty it was. Also, if you don't order the honeycomb ice cream, then we're in a fight. To top it all off, the decor is giving a Nancy Meyers-esque dining room.

Please note, it's a bit on the pricier side, so save this spot for special date nights.

Tac-tile Mountain is just that: coffee table books, home goods, pantry essentials, clean skincare, you name it. Great spot to do your holiday shopping locally 📖
