• Sherman Oaks, Tuesday 8/20 🌮 FREAKING OUT: Found Oyster is collabing with Anajak Thai for Thai Taco Tuesday this week!!

• Venice, Tuesday 8/20 😆 There’s a new live comedy series at Winston House called “Punch,” and the first one is on Tuesday!

• Melrose Hill, Wednesday 8/21 🍕 La Morra is back with another pizza pop-up! This time at fan fave, Cafe Telegrama.

• Pasadena, Wednesday 8/21 🏺 Great friend date idea: a beginner wheel throwing workshop at oh-so-chic Green & Bisque Clayhouse.

• Echo Park, Wednesday 8/21 📓 Ah, there’s a new junk journal club in town! Junk journaling is a mix of journaling, scrapbooking, and collage art, and their first meetup is on Wednesday.

• Culver City, Thursday 8/22 🪑 One of my favorite furniture brands, Sundays, is starting their Labor Day sale early this year! From 8/22 - 9/4, you can shop up to 25% off sitewide (exclusions apply). I would first visit their showroom at Platform in Culver City to try out different pieces like their Chill Time sofa or Cloud Bed collection. It’s so relaxing and full of good vibes - just like a Sunday morning.

• Hollywood, Thursday 8/22 📚 Who doesn’t love a gossip sesh? Celebrate the launch of the all-new Los Angeles Review of Books Quarterly, no. 42: Gossip at the Steve Turner Gallery on Thursday. There will be for drinks, readings, and conversation—yes, even gossip.

• Venice, Thursday 8/22 🍷 Venice Beach Wine Club will be at Little Lunch on Thursday. It’s the last tasting of their Summer Series!

• Mid-City, Thursday 8/22 🍕 Pizza Ananda is popping up at Palm Grove Social on Thursday for their last Wine Social of the summer. Yuuuum.

• West Hollywood, Friday 8/23 🍔 Juicy Lucy is having a burger pop-up at Barney’s Beanery in WeHo this Friday. Half off burgers!

• Pasadena, Friday 8/23 🎷 Awww jazz in a garden! The Norton Simon Museum has a summer program called Golden Hour, held in their Sculpture Garden. There will be a live jazz performance, a happy-hour wine menu in the Garden Café, and drop-in drawing supplies for guests to check out.

• Carla Cafe, West 3rd 🥪 FINALLY!! Carla Cafe has their first brick-and-mortar on West 3rd. Beyond giddy.

• Eveleigh, West Hollywood 🥞 The most underrated spot to grab brunch in West Hollywood, hands down. Amazing views, rustic decor, and tasty brunch dishes. The back patio can be rented for a bridal / baby shower or wedding welcome party!

• Pali Wine Co, Santa Barbara 🍷 If you’re headed to SB for a little field trip, you must stop by Pali Wine Co’s tasting room in the Funk Zone. It’s my dream wine garden. Order the natural wine tasting flight (duh), and enjoy the live music. Perfect for a bachelorette party or wedding welcome party, too!

• MOOHAN KOREAN BBQ, Koreatown 🥩 New upscale KBBQ spot that soft opened last week! Can’t wait to visit.

• The Social Club, Chinatown 🍸 This new members-only spot in Chinatown is quite chic. They have Friday night supper clubs and are always hosting cool events, like this comedy night on Saturday.

• Zizou, Lincoln Heights 🍴 I’ve featured Zizou before when it had just opened, but I need to repeat it because it’s that good. Moroccan-French food, natural wine, unmatched patio, and overall cool vibes. Treat yourself to a date night here.

• Frankies Bikinis, Malibu 👙 Frankies Bikinis has a new flagship storefront at Cross Creek Ranch. Good thing it’s still going to be hot for the next few months.

• La La Land, Glendale 🍵 A new location of La La Land has opened at the Americana. Makes sense!
