This past Saturday, we had our 2nd Walk Club!! Every month, we gather in a different part of Los Angeles to meet one another and walk 🚶

Thank you to everyone who came out to walk with us 😭 This is literally the reason we created Camber: to blend the online & offline experience of discovering places. We'll be hosting more of these little get-togethers, so be sure to continue following along on IG and TikTok.

🗓️ THINGS TO DO 🗓️

• 🍷 Lasita is having a Monday Night Raw (bar and other things)! On Monday 8/8, you can enjoy raw seafood and natty wine from Camo & Co.

• 🧴 I have been wanting to go to a party thrown at Second Home for a while, and now's our chance!! This Wednesday 8/10, they're having a Sunset Party for the launch of LA-based sunscreen, DUNE. Sign me tf up.

• 🍽️ If you're looking for something on the fancier side, Biite is putting together a prix fixe Friuli Italian Wine Dinner at The Tasting Kitchen on Wednesday 8/10. P.S. Friuli is considered the motherland of orange wine, so this is right up our alley.

• 🦒 Wanna drink beer AND look at animals at the zoo? Well then, Brew at the L.A. Zoo is for you (rhyming unintended). Breweries, live music, and grub on Friday 8/12.

• 👜 Are you a Sézane girlie? On Saturday 8/13 from 12 -4 PM, you can personalize your bag with custom hand painting at their new store at Platform in Culver City.

• 🍲 626 Night Market Mini is back for the summer in Santa Monica on Saturday 8/13 & Sunday 8/14! Come hungry.

• 🍺 On Sunday 8/14, our friends at In Sheep's Clothing & Homage Brewing are putting on a Summer Market. Expect a plethora of records, natty wine, beer, and fresh seafood. A perfect summer Sunday if you ask me.

• 🍖 Wanna get a tattoo and eat bbq for abortion rights? Eszett is putting together a night of just that on Sunday 8/14. Book your time slot here.

• 🍦 Broad Street Oyster Co now has soft serve, so you should probably drive to the 'bu for that.

• 🥪 Going to the Hollywood Bowl? Ggiata and Postmates partnered up so you can order half sandwiches and try multiple kinds. Because we're not into choosing just one...

Spoke Bicycle Cafe

Frogtown

By now, you know that patios are my love language. And this may be one of the best in town.

Spoke Bicycle Cafe is this unassuming neighborhood joint along the LA River in Frogtown. It's v colorful, and you can enjoy the space from day to night. They usually have food pop-ups in the evenings and local beer offerings, so be sure to follow their Instagram to stay updated.

Oh, and there's actually a bike shop on site if you're in need of some assistance. Just the most cool 🚲

Cafe Tropical

One of my favorite IG follows is LA photographer Danielle Adams, and she is constantly posting about Cafe Tropical. So naturally, I've been wanting to check it out for quite some time now.

I fell in love with this Cuban cafe the moment I walked in the door. The decor. The cafe helado. The chicken pastelito. UGH.

It's a great spot to work from, meet up with a friend under the pink umbrellas, or run in for a quick bite ☕

Vin on Rose

Venice

There aren't too many natural wine shops on the westside, but Vin on Rose makes up for that 🍷

This is my favorite genre of store: natural wine bottle shop, assortment of cheeses, little tchotchkes, pantry staples, and tote bags.

Next time you're perusing on Rose Ave, pop your head in.
