🫒 Aperitivo is the word of the summer

6/25 - 7/1: Katz's Deli pop-up, clay picnic meetup, & a clothing swap

👋 OH HEY 👋

Mads here! Let’s do a weekly recap, shall we?

  • 🍸 Finally tried Dante in Beverly Hills. If you’re looking for a rooftop to gossip with your friends over a round (or two) of martinis, then this is for you. Great for ladies who lunch, aperitivo, impressing a date, parents visiting from out-of-town, etc.

  • 🕊️ Hotel Vitorrja is Gjusta’s hotel, and I stopped by because Oak Essentials from Jenni Kayne was launching their new face polish. I have been giddy to see this hotel, and it did not disappoint. Adding to my list of “favorite staycations in LA.”

  • Boulevard Coffee is off the main drag of Abbot Kinney with a gorgeous outdoor space and good parking, so you already know I’m a fan. Extreme neighborhood vibes.

  • 🍊 I visited The Paramour Estate in Silver Lake to celebrate Lunya’s new dream spray. Not only was this home historic and breathtaking, but they took experiential dining to a whole new level, like blindfolding us to eat one of the dishes (see below). The whole night felt like a cross between Knives Out & The Menu, but in a cute summer-y way lol.

  • 🏊‍♀️ On Saturday, we kicked off the summer with our friends at Swimply! We rented out this gorgeous home, had a pool party, shopped the marketplace curated by Discovery Diary, and enjoyed June Gloom finally being over. Host your own pool party this summer and rent out pools by the hour on Swimply!

Did you hear that we’re bringing on Cambassadors to create video content, memes, and put on community events with us? If you’re THAT friend people go to for LA recommendations, we want to hear from you.

Okay, now on to the coolest things to do in LA this week.

A MESSAGE FROM “OPEN”

Traveling this summer? Let’s give mindful traveling a try 🌍

We all know how it goes: you plan and plan and plan for the ~perfect~ European vacation only to get there and not feel fully present. You’re missing what’s in front of you and the pressure to have a good time ultimately ruins your precious days there.

Well, let’s shift that.

In case you haven’t seen me posting about the Open studio in Venice basically every other day, let me remind you: Open is a space to become alive. A new take on mindfulness – blending the best of breathwork, meditation, movement, and sound. You can practice on the Open app and at the Open LA studio (one of my favorite places in the city) 🧘

They recently released a Mindful Travel Toolkit, which is going to be my summer go-to. I use the Open app for my meditation every morning (a non-negotiable for me), and with their new Mindful Travel Toolkit, I’ll have peace of mind that my meditation routine won’t be disrupted while traveling this summer.

Join me on the Open app for 30 days free + 1 IRL studio credit using our link 📱
