👋 OH HEY 👋
Mads here! It’s July, which means it’s drink-wine-and-sit-on-a-sidewalk season. Give me a glass of orange natty wine, crudo, and some sunshine on a sidewalk, and I’m golden 🍷
Let’s do a lil weekly recap:
🌊 Shutters is something straight of a Nancy Meyers movie. I stopped by this week and treated myself to a lobster roll and glass of rosé with unobstructed ocean views. On Fridays, you can get 50% off pizza with the purchase of a St Germain cocktail!
🍚 My new go-to for a casual date night in Koreatown: Jilli. It’s a modern sool jib (Korean bar) with natty wine and Korean street food tapas like shrimp toast, chicken baos, and rigatoni alla kimchi vodka.
🎲 We hosted our monthly Rummikub game night at a gorgeous Swimply space! We played all night long and sipped on wine coolers from Gerine.
🍣 Got to try the delivery-only sushi from the team behind Sushi Nakazawa: Hi.Dozo. It’s omakase, without the hard-to-get reservation. Perfect for a picnic or to take to the Hollywood Bowl.
🫖 We got to try the summer Tea Party x Ginza Nishikawa at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills. Sipping their special iced teas and nibbling on tea sandwiches on the perfect Shokupan milk bread was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Make sure to visit by 7/21!
🍦 We swung by McConnell's Ice Cream at the Palisades Village to try the iconic collaboration with See's Candies - you can't name a better pairing of two quintessential California brands. Pick some up for your 4th of July BBQs this week!
